Coffee Break
Tuesday, 9:30-11:00 am Sept. - April
Coffee Break is a relaxed, conversational ministry for women of all ages where participants discover for themselves
and with others Biblical truths and how to apply these truths to their lives. The study materials and conversations
are appropriate for women from all walks of life, Biblical knowledge and faith experiences. During Coffee Break,
nursery and Little Lambs Story hour are provided for children ages 0-5. (see below)
Evening Craft Connections
Wednesday, 7-9 pm, September-June
This is a relaxing time of sharing and crafting together. We work on personal and charity projects. Sewing, knitting, crocheting,
all these and more give us the opportunity to fellowship together, learning from and encouraging one another.
Friendship Group
Sundays, 2:30 pm, October-April
At Friendship, it is our goal to create a comfortable atmosphere in which people of all ages, with and without intellectual
disabilities, can grow deeper in their relationship with God and with each other in community together. Friends and mentors
meet twice a month for fellowship, singing, crafts, bible stories, and the occasional Friendship church service.
Young Adults
Mondays, 7-9 pm
Young adults is a place for young people to build relationships with each other through studying scripture, sharing each others joys and burdens, praying together, and enjoying various fun outings.
Georgetown CRC follows a Safe Church policy to ensure the safety of all we serve.
Youth
Youth on Fire Ministry
Fridays, 7-9 pm, September-May
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith,
and in purity. 1 Tim 4:12. YOF is a ministry for youth in grades 7-12. We disciple youth through worship, Bible study, small groups,
games, and various fun events. It is our desire that youth will know their identity in Christ as they learn to embrace faith as their own.
Cadets
Thursday, 7-8:30 pm, September-April
Cadets is a club for boys, grades 3-7, which helps them grow more Christ-like in all areas of life - devotional,
mental, physical and social. Meetings include Bible study, crafts, badge work, and games/gym. In addition, we
participate in off-site activities - Fall Rally, Snow Derby, Cadet-A-Rama, and camping - events that help our boys
build teamwork and learn various skills in relation to outdoors activities.
G.E.M.S.
Thursdays, 6:45-8:30 pm, September-April
GEMS, a program for girls in grades 1-8, is designed to usher girls into a living, dynamic relationship with
Jesus Christ. The small group structure fosters healthy mentor relationships between counselors and girls,
and ensures safety and long-lasting friendships. In GEMS the girls will engage in Bible study, worship,
badge work, crafts, service projects, and games/gym.
Little Lambs/Story Hour
Tuesdays 9:30-11 am, in conjunction with Coffee Break
LITTLE LAMBS STORY HOUR, for children 2-5 years old, is a Bible-based playtime guiding children as they
are on the beginnings of their journey of faith, helping them experience and wonder at God’s creation and
His love. Activities include stories, crafts, songs, and prayers that reinforce the Biblical story.
Nursery
Sunday 10:00-11:15 am
For children newborn to 2 years of age during the morning worship service. Babies, crawlers and toddlers have
separate supervised play areas with age-appropriate toys.
Sunday School
Sunday mornings during worship service
For children age 3 to grade 4 (Sept-June), and children ages 3-5 (July, Aug). Partway through the service children
will be called to the front for the Children's message and song, after which they will go to Sunday School.
In Sunday School they enjoy hearing Bible stories, making crafts, and singing songs.
Sermon Discussion
Sunday morning worship service
In order to encourage our children in grades 5-6 to learn from the sermon, they are invited to take notes on
the Sermon Discussion sheets provided with the bulletin and then leave the sanctuary right after the sermon
to join their leader and each other to talk about what they heard and learned from the sermon.
