Gary van Leeuwen  (Lead Pastor) I arrived in Georgetown in the summer of 2006.  My wife, Helen, and I have two children, Emily and Thomas.  It is a pleasure and a privilege to be called to serve in this community and in this church.   Following my graduation from seminary and subsequent ordination, I have been blessed to do what I enjoy doing: studying God’s Word and telling others about his faithfulness to us.  I am convinced that if people know that God is faithful to them in Jesus Christ, not only will they be able to be assured of their salvation, but they will respond by living lives that are appropriate to that of a follower of Jesus Christ.     It has been my privilege to study at a diversity of good schools: University of Waterloo, Reformed Bible College (now Kuyper College), Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Calvin Theological Seminary.  I am currently doing part-time studies at Wycliffe College at the University of Toronto.  I feel blessed to say that I have been able to receive a good education that equips me for the work of preaching, teaching, and pastoring.   If you are visiting our church, please take a moment to introduce yourself.   God’s blessings to you. 	Brian DeBoer (Youth Pastor) Hey!  I’m Pastor Brian, and I, with a great deal of help from some wonderful volunteers,  facilitate the youth ministry here at Georgetown CRC.  I am teaching Church School as well as leading the Senior High Youth Group.  Feel free to drop by, I may be in!   It is my aim to be approachable and real.  I encourage the youth and all Christians to view their problems and successes with Christ as their lens and to have a practical faith which involves discernment, devotion and demonstration of God’s love.   In 8 years at McMaster University, I was awarded a Bachelor of Music degree, and a Master of Divinity.  Although I am working in the latter field, the prior is still a big part of my life.  My guitar is often in my hands, and I look forward to enriching the musical diversity of worship here at Georgetown CRC.  You may see my wife Natalia and I playing music anywhere from senior’s homes to festivals.   I hope to meet you if you are reading this.  Come and find me, I’m pretty approachable.  If you are a teenager, get involved here.  There’s always room for one more when we worship and serve God!
